A Bit About Clock Worx and Perry Green

More than 10 years of clock making experience

I service, repair and rebuild yesterday’s clocks so you can enjoy them today and for decades to come.

Clock Worx grew from my general interest in clocks to a hobby and then to a full-time business. I trained under expert clockmaker Roy Gress in Mount Dora and now offer my services throughout Central Florida. Mechanical clocks of any age require specialized knowledge and care to keep them running well. As they say, do not try this at home – and whatever you do, never use WD-40 on a clock!

I work on all types of mechanical clocks – cuckoo, mantel, wall and floor (grandfather) models. Although the basics of keeping time are the same from clock to clock, each individual timepiece has its own “personality” and deserves professional care.

A well-maintained clock should be serviced every four to five years. This will keep it in fine working order. I have rebuilt many clocks because they were not maintained or serviced properly.

Clocks are a part of history. These timepieces were made by extremely intelligent people. Preserving them is very satisfying to me.

Grandfather Clock Worx

“Perry Green of Clock Worx, LLC, has worked on two of my clocks, one is an antique mantel clock which had not worked in a few years, which Perry fixed and it has worked fine ever since. He also worked on my Grandmother clock that needed cleaning and adjusting, it too is working fine. Perry spent time explaining to me how I can make adjustments if the clocks gain or lose time. Perry is prompt, courteous, honest, hardworking and loves working with clocks.”

“Perry,
Thanks so much for your expertise in repairing and maintaining our clocks. We really appreciate your advise; some of our antique clocks are quite temperamental and you handle them with love and care! If ever we have customers with clock questions, we always recommend you to give them expert services.”

Apple Core Antiques

“Thanks to you Mr. Green, all five clocks are running well. Will be pleased to recommend your service for anyone with complicated clock repair requirements.”

Maury Carter

“I am very pleased with the work that Perry has done on some old clocks which I had given up for “dead”. He brought them back to life. He really know what makes a clock tick. Very reasonable too!”
